Description
As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for digitizing and verifying data from physical files and service provider portals, ensuring accuracy in spreadsheets and databases. The role involves organizing paperwork, performing regular backups, and maintaining precise data entry.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Retrieving and downloading information from physical files, as well as service provider’s portals.
Verifies said data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
Creates spreadsheets and transfers data from hard copy to digital database.
Inputs text-based and numerical information from source documents.
Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
Ability to research, investigate and understand information/documents contained in portals.
Maintains accurate daily data entry.
Performs regular database backups to secure data.
Assists with other related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft apps, including Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail.
Good organizational skills, with ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
Results driven, consistent and reliable.
Typing accuracy is a must.
Experience with import / export documents such as ocean bill of lading, commercial invoice, and packing list - preferred.
Knowledge of customs duties – is a plus.
